ESPE Yearbook of Paediatric Endocrinology

Welcome to the 3^rd edition of this chapter on Global Health in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. It is very comforting to witness the rapid increase in high quality research papers that challenge guidelines commonly made for and used in resource-rich settings and that propose new approaches based on the specific characteristics of resource-limited settings. We found many papers on the topic of Developmental Origins of Health and Disease/Type 2 diabetes, on congenital hypothyroidism and on growth/ development and highlight them in three sections of this yearbook chapter.
